What type of care is offered?

At PM Aged Care we offer two types of care known as Residential and Respite Care. For both types of care we offer a full range of care services supporting an independent living lifestyle through to comprehensive care for those with cognitive support needs.

Is PM Aged Care government accredited?

PM Aged Care has been a highly accredited aged care facility for over 20 years. Information about our accreditation status can be obtained by contacting us on 07 3261 5133.

What type of accommodation does PM Aged Care offer?

We offer private, ensuite single rooms opening out to your own seating area. We also have a limited number of twin rooms available for couples that feature a separate lounge and kitchenette facilities. View more detail on our rooms here.

How do I apply for a place at PM Aged Care?

Can I apply on behalf of a family member or other dependent adult?

Yes. It is quite common for our residents to be assisted by family or friends during the application process.  Please don’t hesitate to call us on 07 3261 5133 or contact us via our website to organise to take you through the application process.

Do I have to have an assessment to live at PM Aged Care?

The only criteria is an aged care assessment which is provided free of charge by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). Click here to locate a team near you. We use that assessment as the starting point to put together an independent care plan for you once you move in with us. We do offer places for those without an Aged Care Assessment, however other fees may apply.

What kind of care can I expect?

When you join us at PM Aged Care, you will receive a customised care plan in consultation with your family, your doctor/s and other specialists.  This ensures you receive appropriate care including personal assistance, meals, therapies and lifestyle activities. All care plans are regularly reviewed in consultation with you, your family, your doctors and our qualified staff.

What are the fees for PM Aged Care?

Who can live at PM Aged Care?

If you or your loved one has a current aged care assessment or is living with disability and seeking care, please contact us on 07 3261 5133 to discuss your particular requirements.

Can I see a room before I decide?

Yes. We encourage you to come and have a good look around PM Aged Care before you come to live with us.  We are happy to show you right around the home, introduce you to our team and other residents and answer all your questions.

Are your nursing and care staff all qualified?

Yes. All of our nursing staff and care staff are fully qualified with Registered Nurses onsite 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Can you accommodate couples too?

We also have a limited number of twin rooms available for couples that feature a separate lounge and kitchenette facilities.

Do you offer short term or Respite Care?

Yes. We are here to assist at any time you and your family member require a last minute (or emergency placement) or you wish to book Respite care in advance. Contact us here.

Do you provide Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) services?

Yes. Voluntary assisted dying (VAD) in Queensland gives eligible people diagnosed with a life-limiting condition, who are suffering intolerably and dying, an additional end-of-life choice by allowing them to choose the timing and circumstances of their death. In accordance with the Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2021 (the Act) and our company policy, PM Aged Care will support existing permanent residents with their VAD request and the eligibility process, however will not admit new residents for the purpose of VAD services.

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are welcome to come and visit you at PM Aged Care only. Our gardens have tranquil areas to host your family, friends and pets for a visit.

What if English is not my first language?

A number of our staff speak a second language.  We also have access to local community group volunteers that can assist with communicating with residents to make them feel as comfortable as possible.
