'“On behalf of myself and my brothers, we would like to say a big thank you to Nancy and all the dedicated nurses, carers, lifestyle managers, physiotherapist, laundry, cleaning, gardening, cooking/kitchen staff and admin staff for the wonderful caring support you all gave mum (Joan) and also to us, her family. My apologies, too many to name individually, to each and every one of you, a special thank you. Also, Dr Kurma, who came to the village, looked after mum, provided her with great medical care, understanding and compassion. PM Aged Care was mum’s home for over 8 years, arriving in November 2012. She had health problems when she arrived. With the dedicated team of workers; they helped her improve her health and enjoy many of the activities, especially her Bingo.

At this time I would like to acknowledge just a couple of past staff, Cath and Ann. Thy both provided extra care, both physically and mentally. They showed her respect and wonderful caring support to make her feel at home for the whole time they worked at PM. Also, I would like to personally thank, Leonie, Rhonda and Margaret, these three carers were with mum, caring for her the whole time she was at PM Aged Care. The greatest compliment I can give them is, I felt they treated mum like she was their mum. The other carers also provided fantastic care, love and support. Thank you.

The last few days of Mum’s life were very stressful for the whole family, and the staff went to extraordinary lengths to help and support us. The nursing staff, especially, Darshan, kept us informed by phone and offered wonderful care and support for her and our whole family. He even organised for a priest to come in the middle of the night to give her a blessing. Compassion and care was given to us by all the nurses, carers and staff at this time. We will never forget the wonderful care they provided.

Nancy, your entire staff are very professional and most of all caring, respectful and compassionate.
